Hello Bloggers!

Welcome back to another challenge with Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog! Wow, can you believe the summer is almost over! I hope you all are enjoing your summer and enjoying this beautiful weather.

Challenge 13 is being frugal and going green is what it's all about. Show us how you can up-cycle something using "junk" from your hoard. Most craft hoarders also hoard boxes, tins, packaging, and bits of this and that. Our mantra is, "I can MAKE something with that!" Now is your chance! Up-cycle!  Let's see what you can create with all your stuff that you have been holding onto, because you will be able to use it for something!

This months  sponsors are Canvas Corp and Altered Pages.  Canvas Corp, based out of Springdale, Arkansas, is led by Randy and Christine Meier. Canvas Corp manufactures and distributes a line of craft, scrapbooking and home decor basics under the brand name Canvas Home Basics. Established in 2006, Canvas Corp made its entry into the market with a focus on products that offer great basic solutions for the craft and home decor markets. Joining the Canvas Corp umbrella of brands was BagWorks and 7gypsies in 2011 and the newest member of the brand team is Tattered Angels who joined in 2012.

Altered Pages Mission: We will offer quality products and instruction to assist the art community's quest for creativity. Happiness draws on positive actions, kind deeds, and a helpful attitude. A friend is one who blesses you with love, strengthens you with prayers, and encourages you with hope.

You can read all the details and rules on the Craft Hoarders Anonymous blog, you can also link your creation on the blog. I cannot wait to see what you create with all your hoard! The challenge goes for two weeks. One talented participant will receive this prize pack, donated by our leader Gloria Stengel.

Here is my take on the challenge.  I used a cardboard box that I had waiting to use if for something and the Tim Holtz metal pieces, I have had for a very long time, so I was happy I could use them.

Supplies:  Canvas Corp stretched burlap 6x6 and black and kraft tags, Altered Pages Vintage Sewing Trade Cards AP-649 (roses), card board box, Tim Holtz paper string black, mini gears, Foliage, distress ink vintage photo and wild honey, distress paint mustard seed, fired brick and peeled paint, adornments regal, journaling tickets, Heidi Swapp spray stencil (for the heart) and prima lace stickers doily 2.
